The Bankers part ways with midfielder Limbani as Munthali extends his stay

Lilongwe based TNM super league outfit, Silver Strikers has parted ways with midfielder maestro Victor Limbani with immediate effect.

Confirming the development, Area 47 based side chief executive officer Thokozani Chimbali, said the move has been made following recommendations by head coach Daniel Kabwe.

Chimbali added that the team is also working on extending contracts of players whose deals are expected to expire next year.

“No players contracts is expiring this year because all those contracts are expiring this year have been renewed expect for one player(Limbani) who has been released by the coach, right now those players whose contracts are expiring in 2021 we have already started the process of renewing to further more years,” said Chimbali

Chimbali also confirmed that the team has reached an agreement with goalkeeper, Bright Munthali to renew his stay at the club as his contract was expected to end early next year.

Zambian mentor, Kabwe early this year made a bold decision to release 7 key players at the club as part of his rebuilding exercise a move which saw one of the longest serving members of the team striker, Green Harawa part ways with the team as Lazarus Nyemera, Ronald Pangani, Newman Mwamsamali, Mphatso Phelemon, Sherrif Shamama were also shown the exit door.

Kabwe has so far brought in new faces like striker Stain Dave from TN Stars and Foster Bitoni from Blue Eagles.
