Super League of Malawi (Sulom) will hold its Annual general meeting on 26 September, 2020 at Sunbird Capital Hotel at which election of the Legal Advisor is to take place.
According to Sulom General Secretary, Williams Banda the AGM will focus on how the previous season was handled and map the way forward for the elite league and assured teams that all the AGM will be held with strict observation of Covid-19 preventive measures.
“The AGM gives a platform to the teams to address issues which they find relevant to improve the affairs of the league and also understand things run by the body,” said Banda
Banda added that they will take advantage of the meeting to usher into office a Legal Advisor for the body to replace Muhammad Sulleman who is now in the executive committee of Football Association of Malawi.
Reacting to Akometsi on the news that the AGM will take place, Mzuzu Warriors general Secretary, Donnex Chilonga said the meeting is long overdue and they are happy that finally the AGM is taking place.
“We wish to understand the progress regarding sponsorship negotiations with TNM, we have been lamenting of the meagre money attached to our league, we gave our views for consideration and we would love to hear how far these views have been taken,” Chilonga said
He further said that they wish to understand the level of preparedness if the game is to start amid Covid-19 pandemic.
