The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has on Wednesday released the revised fixture for the 2022 AFCON qualifiers. This new fixture carters for matches that were postponed due to COVID-19 crisis.
The qualifiers return this November and Flames will continue their campaign between 9th and 13th of that Month.
The Meke Mwase team will play Burkina Faso back to back, home and away before playing South Sudan away and Uganda at home in their last 2 games in the AFCON qualifiers.
Group B is marked as one of the competitive groups in the qualifiers as Flames, Burkina Faso, South Sudan and Uganda battle for superiority.
Malawi have a strong record in regional competition, having won the East and Central African Senior Challenge Cup three times – in 1978, 1979 and 1988. They lost on penalties to Zimbabwe in the quarterfinals of the COSAFA Cup in 2013, and were then beaten 3-2 by Angola in the Plate semifinals.
