Go for the title! Police IG challenges the Eagles

The Inspector General (IG) of the Malawi Police Service, Dr. George Kainja has called on his Area 30 based elite league side, Blue Eagles to try and go for the top award and win the championship in the upcoming 2020/21 season.
The country’s police chief made the remarks during an interface meeting with the club’s executive when they were banging heads on how the team can reach greater heights in the next season.

The IG commended the incumbent executive committee for the good run of the affairs at the club and promised to increase funding to the team as well as promote and recruit civilian players when the team manages to win the prestigious league title.

Reacting to the news from the IG, Blue Eagles Chairperson, Alexander Ngwala hailed the IG for the gesture and they will work hard to make this dream a reality.

“Assurance has been made by the Inspector General that he will support the team and as Blue Eagles we have been motivated as such we will make sure that we forge ahead with energy and passion for the team,” said Ngwala.

Blue Eagles during the 2019 season won the FISD challenge cup and finished in third place of the elite league and since 2017 to date the current executive has enjoyed a rich vein of form which has been characterized by winning of cup accolades.
