Confirming the development during an interface meeting with Blue Eagles FC executive was the club’s patron Demister Chigwenembe who also dubs as Commissioner of Police responsible for Audit and Inspection.

The club’s vice general secretary Sydney Ching’oma is quoted on Radio 2 FM saying it has pleased the management to maintain Superintendent Alexander Ngwala because he was elected into office.

“It pleased the management that Alexander Ngwala should still be the chairman of Blue Eagles because he was voted into office and management has advised us to amend the constitution of Blue Eagles which in the past was not clear when one was posted away from the Police headquarters automatically was not in his position and as of yesterday said we have to amend the constitution,” Said Ching’oma

Ngwala who is now in the southern region as Officer in charge for South Lunzu Police will still be at the helm of the club’s day to day affairs.

Under his leadership, last season the team managed to walk home with the FISD challenge cup gold medal and finished the 2019 TNM Super League season in third place.
