Nyasa Big Bullets head coach Kalisto Pasuwa has refused to release players who have been called for national duty from his club.

National team head coach, Meke Mwase, released names of local players to report for AFCON qualifiers preparations by the end of business today.

Among the players called for national duty are bullets’ Enerst Kankhobwe, Gomegzani Chirwa, Precious Sambani, Nickson Nyasulu, Chimango Kayira, Peter Banda, Chimwemwe Idana, and Hassan Kajoke.

In an interesting turn of events, Pasuwa has refused to release the players today as demanded by Meke Mwase stating that players from his side will only report for national duty this Friday the 30th.

Pasuwa argues that “ofcourse it’s good that bullets players have been considered for national duty but looking at the fact that they are on a pre-season training in Mangochi the players can only be released on Friday.”

He further added that releasing the players for national duty now will affect his preparations for the league as he is drilling them on new systems and techicalities.
