The Rainbow nation, South Africa, has resumed its football competitions after a long break due to covid 19. South Africa was an epicentre of the disease in the continent as it was hardly hit.
At the peak of the outbreak the country was registering as high as 13 000 new covid cases in a day. But now the cases have tremendously decreased.
To the amusement of soccer fans, the country’s football body has resumed its competitions. The very first game in the ABSA premier league was played Tuesday night.
In the highly tensed and much anticipated encounter, Orlando Pirates were taking on Sundowns. Our own Gabadinho Mhango, one of the favourite soccer stars in the rainbow nation was a marvel to watch.
He played exceptionally well but could not get on the score sheet for his side. The game ended in a stalemate.
