A middle-aged man from Area 36, Lilongwe, has died while fasting and praying at Bunda mountain.

Deputy Public Relations Officer for
Lilongwe Police Station, in a statement, has identified the man as Wisdom Chanika.
Benjamin said on Wednesday, the deceased is said to have gone to the mountain to pray alongside an unidentified woman.
While praying, it is reported that he left the woman for an unknown place, leaving some of his clothes behind and when the woman finished praying, he took the clothes to a village headman.
Chanika was later found dead by a hunter who immediately reported to security officers at Bunda College of Agriculture.
The police were informed and took Chanika’s body to Kamuzu Central Hospital pending postmortem and full identification.
Other reports indicate the deceased was a Mzuzu University Theology student.
