State President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has appointed a Cabinet Committee which is said to, among others, provide high level strategic and policy advice to government.
This comes as the country continues to strive for promotion of private Sector Growth.
A statement released and signed by the Chief Secretary to the Government, Zangazanga D. Chikhosi on Friday, further states that the committee will work as an effective platform for consultation between private and public sectors.
Vice President Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima is the chairperson of the committee.
Among others include Finance Minister Felix Mlusu and Sidik Mia who is the Minister of Transport and Public works.
The committee has also on board Minister of Labour Kenny Kandodo (MP), Minister of Energy Newton Kambala, Sosten Gwengwe (MP) Minister of Trade and Roy Kachale Banda who is the Minister of Industry.
The appointment has however, brought mixed reactions from the public.
While many commend Chakwera for the step, others suggest it is gender insensitive.
