“Women should expect more from this government”: Minister of Information

Minister of information Gospel Kazako has advised women in the country to stay calm as Tonse Alliance led government is serious on women empowerment citing it is a process and not an event. Kazako was speaking this during an interview with Akometsi.

“We are serious on women empowerment. It is a process not an event. This is why we are asking the women of this country to be patient and give their government time to ensure we work together to galvanize this process that is meant to last for generations” said Kazako.

Kazako added that President Lazarus Chakwera has embarked on a process of social construction that will see women in position they have longed to be.

The Minister further said Chakwera is addicted to the habit of keeping his word and when he is decided to do something he does not shake with any force.

“President Lazarus Chakwera is addicted to the habit of keeping his word and when he is decided to do something he does not shake with any force contrary to what he wants to achieve. He proves his decision by actions” said the Minister.

Recently, women in the country demonstrated against what they were calling gender inbalance in President Chakwera’s appointments in various institutions.
