Justice for Bushiri“, reads the T-shirt

The two scenarios have come to the attention of the honourable 1 major, who has since expressed shock at learning of the persecution of people involved in both.

In Nigeria, it is reported that the police are firing live bullets at civilians and killing them in dozens without remorse or mercy.

It is firther alleged that on October 20, nearly two weeks into the protests, witnesses and rights groups said soldiers opened fire on demonstrators gathered at a toll gate in Lekki, an upmarket area of Lagos.

The military denied its involvement in the attack but Amnesty International said 12 people were killed by police and soldiers in Lekki and Alausa, another area of Lagos.

As of the Bushiris, it is reported that the couple is accused of fraud, theft and money laundering in South Africa, where the ‘persecuted’ prophet is ministering the word to ‘God’ and running some businesses.

The couple was, as of Wednesday morning, still appearing in court for their bail application hearing at a magistrate court in Pretoria after being apprehended by the Hawks a week before.

He has described the epoch as the worst for human kind and has since urged all believers to fasten their belts in prayers for God’s intervention on the tribulations imposed on his people by the devil.

In a media statement released from his office on Wednesday, the ‘charismatic’ man of God says Christians are a family and when their fellows are being persecuted or killed in a carnage, it is time to show solidarity.

“We are family in Christ. Its time we join efforts in prayers for our friends and families in Nigeria and Major 1 prophet Shepherd Bushiri and our mother Mary,” reads the statement in part.

Prophet Wakisa Chizaso is a leader at the Revival international Christian House (RICH) which operates in South Africa and Malawi.
