Tay Grin preaches hope in new single

Malawi’s hip hop maestro Tay Grin has got a special summer offer to his fans as he has released a new song titled “Global message” which he dropped on 29th September, 2020.

The song is first of the Nyau King’s upcoming album, “Different Shades of Grin” expected to uplift the mood of everyone who will have a glimpse of it especially in this Covid-19 pandemic which has hit Malawi and the world as a whole.

“It is no secret that the global crisis we find ourselves in has affected individuals from all walks of life, it has leveled the playing field regardless of race or social status, as things are slowly normalizing, borders reopening, offices and schools gradually starting up again many still look for a word of hope to inch them forward, the young and the old strain their ears to promise of a better tomorrow,” said Tay Grin.

“A king is not a king without his people. Moyo wavuta koma chisomo chilipo, raise your glass in
the air if you’ve lost someone, thank God we’re still here, turn the music up…life goes on, we will survive keep your head up” raps Tay Grin with his mesmerizing voice in a song which has been done with a different style unlike to his trademark style.

With clear articulation and a refreshing beat produced by award winning producer Tapps Bandawe, the “Global
Message” will lift up many spirits, as it carries with it a warm and infectious mood. The
melodious voice of Tigris and the strong saxophone sounds from Dan Sibale spice up the song
the more.

“Global Message” comes out few days after Tay Grin has been appointed by the London Political
Summit and Awards as the ambassador for the 2020 summit, representing Malawi and the whole
Southern Africa.
