Peter Mutharika’s former private security aide Norman Chisale has applied for an injunction to stop the police from further arresting him.
Media reports indicate Chisale’s lawyer, Chancy Gondwe, on July 31st, penned the High Court through Justice Charles Mkandawire to issue him an injunction that will see the law enforcers refraining from arresting his client on any charges leveled against him from now onwards.
But Gondwe was denied, and he later went on for an appeal at the Supreme Court on Sunday, where Justice Lovemore Chikopa has ordered an interparty hearing between the appellant and the respondent.
Justice Frank Kapanda is meant to hear the case today at 11am.
Norman Chisale, after championing three back-to-back arrests recently, is still remanded at Maula prison as he is answering his immediate murder charge.
His other charges, apart from this, include money laundering and theft.
