Organizers of the first-ever glamorous cultural event dubbed Intercultural Weekend have confirmed they are ready to host the event from October 24 to 25 this year.
The event which will be hosted at the Blue’s bar Blantyre has pulled together traditional acts from across the country. According to the marketing and communications director Jose Chingaipe Jnr, everyone is invited to grace the occasion.
Among other things that will spice up the two prestigious days include music performances by Joe Gwaladi, Kasambwe Brothers, Chichiri Prison dance troupe, Djs and other artists besides a classy fashion show.
Local beer and food will be offered to participants while they will be enjoying poetry from Slyvestet Kalizang’oma and other interesting arts exhibition.
“Dressing code for the event is African print attire or traditional clothing,” said José Chingayipe

The event has been organized in line with the Global Sustainable Development goals (SDGs) which aim at promoting tourism, building peace and fostering knowledge.
Malawi is one of the countries in Africa which is very rich in culture.
