It doesn’t rain but pours for the top gurus of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) as more arrests continue to roam in their camp for mismanaging public property and abusing office.
Former Minister of Information Henry Mussa and Gideon Munthali who is former Director of Information in the ministry have been charged with two counts, theft by public servant and abuse of office by the Lilongwe Magistrate court.
In a twist of events the two will still remain in the cooler as the court denied granting bail saying the state makes sense to ask for more time to investigate.
Principal Resident Magistrate Viva Nyimba adjourned the case to 21st September when the court will make its stand whether the two should be granted bail or not.
According to the State Prosecutors, one of the 10 computers has been recovered from Munthali’s house while the one of the 3 generators has been recovered from Mussa’s residence.
The duo is being accused of stealing computers and generators for the ministry.
