Human Rights activist Charles Kajoloweka has today on 25 September, 2020 turned down his newly appointed position as board member for National youth council of Malawi.
Kajoloweka who is also executive director of youth and Society-YAS described the position as political in nature hence turning it down to avoid compromising his work.
Besides not being consulted, he further said the appointment did not follow the right procedures regarding the act of the national youth council.
Meanwhile, according to Kajoloweka communication on his decision has already been sent to the ministry of youth and sports.
On 23 September 2020, president Lazarus Chakwera appointed 67 individuals as board of chairperson and members of various parastatals to assist him in his quest of serving Malawians.
