Information Minister Kazako promises reforms at MBC as the public appeals for Maseya’s chop

Gospel Kazako who is Minister of Information in the Tonse Administration has highlighted in an interview with this publication that there will be serious reforms at MBC.

The Minister said some of the reforms will be making people understand what MBC is and who owns the entity. He also explained the need to have well qualified employees running the entity which largely depends on Taxes.

“MBC must stand independent and be fair when disseminating information. We do not want to continue the wrong things that people complained about for so long. I have been there, I met people and shared with everyone the direction that we need to take moving forward,” he said.

There was a serious public outcry on MBC during the Peter Mutharika administration. The entity was used to attack citizens and push the agenda of the DPP.

Some of the notable names which people do not want to see at MBC include Steve Maseya, Mr Sumbuleta, Greyson Chapita, Hope Chisanu and many others. Inside information indicate that they will face the chop, an action that people await to congratulate the Tonse Government.
