Former Minister of Information, Henry Mussa was arrested on Sunday for being suspected of mismanaging public property when he was in office under Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leadership.
The former Member of Parliament for Chiradzulu was arrested in Blantyre and was taken to Lilongwe the same day.
On the same day, the Police apprehended former director of Information Gideon Munthali for stealing generators and 10 computers from the ministry of information.
Munthali is in police custody for allegedly mismanaging 10 computers and 3 heavy generators that Malawi Communication Regulatory Authority (MACRA) bought for the Ministry of Information of which he only delivered 2 generators in Mzuzu and Blantyre regional offices.
Munthali is being held at Lingadzi Police station in Area 18 in Lilongwe as he implicated Henry Mussa in the theft.
