CORI warns people against using unrefined oil stolen during a tanker accident

Cooking oil manufacturing company, Capital Oil Refining Industries (CORI) has warned people against consuming cooking oil that they stole when the company’s tanker had an accident in Blantyre.

The vehicle had an accident on Sunday along Magalasi road in Blantyre after it overturned.

Following the accident, residents of the area jovially flocked to the spot with pots and buckets to draw the oil.

However, the company, through its Marketing Manager Waseem Jussab warned people not to consume the oil.

“The people should refrain from taking in the oil as it was not a final product,” said Jussab.

He further warned consumption will mean various health defects to the people.
