Uncertainty has surrounded Norman Paulosi Chisale’s bail application as the judge who is supposed to do the exercise has gone out on holiday.
Chisale’s immediate case is that of murder of ACB’s Director of Research Issa Njauju in the year 2015, and he was arrested weeks ago.
But currently, there seem to be no any green light that the former Peter Mutharika’s security aide will leave the prison corridors soon, since judge Fiona Mwale has left office for holiday.
Chancy Gondwe, lawyer representing Chisale, has confirmed the development, and said this means continued stay of him in prison.
Meanwhile, Chisale is being remanded at Maula prison.
Norman Chisale has been a household name with arrests for the recent time, having been apprehended for three consecutive times back to back on various counts.
