There was sigh of relief at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) as all COVID-19 patients were discharged.
Confirming the development on Wednesday when Lilongwe Safari Club made a donation to the referral facility, Director of the Hospital, Jonathan Ngoma said the hospital has recorded 100 percent recovery for COVID-19 patients.
“It’s true, they have all recovered but it was not easy to handle COVID-19 patients,” said Ngoma
Ngoma added that those discharged are 57 while 32 passed on as the pandemic reached it’s peak in June and July, 2020.
The announcement comes a few days after Mzuzu Central Hospital also discharged all COVID-19 patients after testing negative for the Coronavirus.
The country’s caseload currently stands at around 5,600 and since the first case discovered in the country, KCH admitted close to 90 people who tested positive for the deadly pandemic.
