On Friday, July 17,2020, Times Group organised a random testing of covid-19 on some of it’s workers at the company’s headquarters in Blantyre. During the testing, 17 members of staff were the ones who took the test, of which 4 of them came out positive.
According to our source, Times Group management has let the 4 staff begin isolation observations in their respective homes for the next 14 days.
The management continued to explain that they will continue to put in place measures to help them fight the covid-19 pandemic, these measures include; fumigation of all their operating offices, decongesting the offices, allowing employees to work from home, encouraging their clients to use electronic payment systems and insisting that all their visitor wear masks and their temperatures taken upon arrival at work everyday.
So far Times Group has not disclosed the names of the 4 staff members.
