Fast rising female rapper Toriah is heating up the Malawian music scene, she has once again hit the airvawes with a song titled Gangster love. The song has since become a must play among many, this is even as music lovers are surfing the social media to savour the new release.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Akometsi, the rapper cleared the water under bridge saying people associates the Bilimankhwe song to her former boyfriend Jay Jay Cee but the artist was quick to argue down the mumble saying.
” It is not like that, actually after we broke up I just decided to come up with something that tackles social injustice which is almost elsewhere and people thought I was doing that for my ex, I did inform him that I’m working on something in the studio. I’m a strong woman and no man can break my heart ” She started.
A sister to the fastest male rapper Mwanache, described her music as way of her life and passion.
” To be frank with you , I am in music industry for a purpose as much as I will be entertaining my fans with good music my mission is to prove wrong people who say female artist don’t last long in the industry. I want music lovers to feel my music and be relief that Rap is closer to them” she alluded.
On what makes her unique in ability to write quality lyrics and work with excellent sound engineers Toriah said
” Music is my first love , music is not just my first love as a matter of fact music is my way of life . Rapping or even just listening to music transports me into paradise, a world of free pain and trouble s , music makes me sane “
Asked if her heart still rances on him Toriah said chances are still there though stressing that going out with celebrity is not easy thing to handle .
” honestly I cannot barricade my heart to love again nothing has shaken me to my roots , I have realised that they is nothing new under the sun ” concluded the area 25 based rapper.
